چکیده
هدف از انجام این پژوهش این بود که شناخت معلمان انگلیسی و غیر انگلیسی زبان را از مفاهیم و اصول آموزش زبان در محیط زبان انگلیسی به عنوان زبان بین المللی بسنجد. در این پژوهش 200 معلم انگلیسی و غیر انگلیسی زبان از کشورهای ایران، ترکیه، ایالات متحده، و انگلستان شرکت کردند. یافته های پژوهش نشان داد که معلمان انگلیسی زبان شناخت دقیق تری نسبت به مفاهیم و اهداف آموزش زبان انگلیسی به عنوان زبان بین المللی داشتند. معلمان غیر انگلیسی زبان تحت تاثیر باورهای قدیمی بودند و بر برتری فرهنگ و لهجه گویشوران بومی زبان انگلیسی اعتقاد داشتند. معلمان غیرانگلیسی زبان از مفاهیم جدید آموزش زبان انگلیسی به عنوان یک زبان بین المللی شناخت محدودی داشتند و هنوز معتقد به روشها و باورهای قدیمی آموزش زبان بودند. معلمان غیرانگلیسی زبان از توانایی و مزیت های خود نسبتا ناآگاه بودند و معلمان انگلیسی زبان را برتر از خود می پنداشتند.
